LAB TESTING PANELS

METABOLIC SYNDROME PANEL: $99.50

This test requires two blood draws, one after 12 hours of fasting,
the second blood draw being done after one has eaten a very
         carbohydrate rich, calorie rich meal.

Metabolic Syndrome, also known as prediabetes, is prevalent in America, with estimates ranging as high as 60% of Americans being afflicted with one degree or another of this illness. While some people simply advocate watching and waiting for treatment until this becomes full blown diabetes, it is now more common to consider this as a health issue unto itself, and treating it with diet, lifestyle changes and supplements before full blown diabetes appears. Prediabetes is associated with increased risk of stroke, heart attack, osteoparosis, chronic pain, arthritis, elevated cholesterol, increased blood clotting, and many other conditions that destroy one's health.
